Who We Are

The Herald Foundation for Peace and Human Development is a humanitarian and civil society organisation dedicated to fostering a peaceful and prosperous Africa through advocacy, community engagement, and sustainable development. We believe that peace is the non-negotiable foundation for sustainable development and social progress, and that development occurs when members of a community work together toward a common goal, in the absence of all forms of violence and rivalry.

What We Do

Sensitisation

Educating citizens on government policies and programmes; promoting responsible civic participation; raising awareness of governance and societal issues; and equipping citizens and communities with the knowledge and skills needed to promote peaceful coexistence, safety, and security.

Advocacy

Advocating for accountable leadership, comprehensive policy reforms, and the institutionalisation of equality, justice and inclusive governance, while calling for decisive government action to address insecurity and end human rights violations.

Social Services

Enhancing community resilience and sustainable development through the provision of essential social services, climate-smart agriculture training for small-scale farmers, digital literacy programmes for youth, and innovative technology-driven solutions that empower youth and communities and address societal challenges.
